Despite continuous ups and downs, Vietnam's rubber exports in the first eight months of 2022 still increased slightly.
According to the latest estimate of the Import-Export Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the first eight months of 2022, rubber exports reached about 1.19 million tons, worth $2 billion, up 7.8% in volume and 8. 1% in value over the same period in 2021.
In the first 7 months of 2022, Vietnam is the second largest rubber supplier to China with US$1.18 billion, up 10.6% over the same period in 2021.
Vietnam's rubber exports in August 2022 reached about 210,000 tons, worth US$320 million, up 6.9% in volume and 0.3% in value compared to July 2022; compared to August 2021, increased 11% in volume and 3% in value. The average export price of rubber in August 2022 reached US$1,523/ton, down 6.2% compared to July 2022 and down 7.2% compared to August 2021.

In which, the mixture of natural rubber and synthetic rubber is still the most exported product, accounting for 56% of the country's total rubber exports, with 550,490 tons, worth $939.18 million, down 2.7% in volume, but up 1.4% in value over the same period in 2021. Rubber exports to China accounted for 99.72% of the total mixture of natural and synthetic rubber exports. Exports of the whole country, with 548,980 tons, worth $935.64 million, down 2.5% in volume, but up 1.7% in value over the same period in 2021.
In the first 7 months of 2022, many types of rubber exports increased sharply in both volume and value compared to the same period in 2021, notably: Synthetic rubber, Latex, SVR 20, SVR 10, mixed rubber (HS 4005), RSS3, SVR 3L, regenerated rubber... In August 2022, the price of raw rubber latex in the domestic market decreased compared to July 2022. In Binh Phuoc, the price of raw rubber latex purchased by Phu Rieng Rubber Company is at 285-290 VND/TCS, down 5-17 VND/TCS compared to the end of July 2022. In Binh Duong, the purchasing price of raw rubber latex of Phuoc Hoa Rubber Company fluctuates at 293-295 VND/TSC, down 18 VND/TSC compared to the end of July 2022. In Gia Lai, rubber latex was purchased by Mang Yang Rubber Company at the price of 265-275 VND/TSC, down 20 VND/TSC compared to the end of July 2022.
